Backyard for a Growing Family
A growing Upper West Side family commissioned this backyard project. The object
was to separate a large open space into two distinct areas, to better serve
the varied interests of family members now and in the future. Blue Stone paving
and raised stack stone planters, along with varied plantings, were employed
to achieve the desired result. The change of levels, combined with the use of
seasonal color and varying shades and textures of green created living walls
for their newly created outdoor "rooms."
